GAP-tastic by Jen Geigley
Based on a big chunky scarf seen at the Gap, this seed-stitch infinity cowl is knit in the round with a bulky yarn and is finished in no time! Wind it around your neck, let it hang low, or pull it up over your head when the wind blows and stay toasty all winter. We knit ours in Misti Alpaca Chunky (100% baby alpaca) for added softness and drape. View project details and download pattern for free on Ravelry.
Simple Yet Effective Cowl by Alexa Ludeman
A sublimely soft cowl knit with 100% Cashmere 4 Ply from Handmaiden Fine Yarns. Quick and luxurious – for the especially deserving on your list. Several colourways available in store. View project details and download free pattern on Ravelry.
Pip by Mona Schmidt
Pip is a fun knit using only one skein of worsted weight yarn and knit up on rather large needles to get a very drapey fabric. Knit in stockinette stitch Pip has an unfinished, almost deconstructed look, no blocking required. We knit ours with Zitron Opus 1 – a soft 100% Merino yarn containing Jojoba and Aloe Vera. Grey Owl Cowl by Juju Vail
This is a super chunky cowl that can be worn several ways. It has five toggles and no buttonholes so that it can be fastened as a shawl, cowl, hood, or cape. Knit with Brown Sheep Burly Spun (loads of colours in stock). Easy enough for beginners. View project details and download pattern for free on Ravelry.
Kerr Hat and Cowl by Cirilia Rose & Andra Asars
A fun and stylish hat and cowl knit with Borealis from Berroco. A floral swirl adorns the side of the hat and coordinates perfectly with the Kerr Cowl. Cute! All colours of Borealis are currently in stock. View project details and download pattern for free on Ravelry.
Milanese Loop and Lace Topper by tante ehm
A simple knit cowl and hat showcasing a spiraling Milanese Lace pattern. We knit ours with Kashmir Alpakka from Sandnesgarn (84% Alpakka, 14% Cashmere) – incredibly soft and machine washable too! View project details and download pattern for free on Ravelry.
Kimbo Kowl by Sarah Grieve
The Kimbo Kowl is a great super quick knit made using a thick but lightweight chainette yarn. From casting on (all 8 stitches!) to sewing on the buttons, this project took less than 45 minutes! We used Berroco Link in “Superb Starling” and paired it with orange buttons. This is a perfect choice for a truly “last-minute” but awesome knitted gift.
