New Store Sample: Simple (Extreme!) Luxury Scarf April 4, 2012 – Posted in: New in Store, Project Ideas, Store Samples
The Simple Luxury Scarf by Anna & Heidi Pickles is one of those basic but highly effective designs that lets the yarn be the star of the show. The original pattern calls for fingering merino stranded with silk mohair but we thought – why not take this up a notch – why not knit an extreme luxury version? It didn’t take us long to settle on Red Label Cashmere and Silk from Tanis Fiber Arts stranded with Filatura di Crosa’s Superior – an incredibly soft lace-weight blend of cashmere and silk. The result is heavenly – lofty, delicate, and unbelievably cozy. The store sample pictured below uses Red Label in Charcoal paired with Superior in Black. With a new shipment of Red Label just arrived and a full stock of Superior already in store – the possibilities are endless…

I love the idea of pairing those yarns! I have both in my stash, I might give it a try.

I am new to Espace Tricot and just love your offerings. Hopefully, will get to your location very soon. As I am a novice knitter I am very interested in the pattern for Simple Luxury. I found it on Revelry yet it is indicated as a written pattern. After clicking away, I ended up on the Pickels site and they were sending me emails in Norwegian. That is when I raised my hands and said, I need to contact the girls at Espace.. Can you help me here? Thank you so much. Angelita

Hello Angelita,
we’re very happy to hear you like what we do – and appreciate your feedback!
Concerning the simple luxury scarf: I clicked on the link provided on the pattern site and it indeed sends me to the Norwegian part of their website. However, if you change the languate to English (there is a drop down menu on the top of the page) you’ll get to the Simple luxury kits page, which includes a free download of the pattern.
Hope this works!
Best,
Mona
