New store samples – Kozue, Super Easy Baby Blanket August 14, 2012 – Posted in: New in Store, Project Ideas, Store Samples
Kozue by Kirsten Johnstone
So simple, so beautiful. Kirsten Johnstone has a knack for understated elegance and this pattern is no exception. A pleasure to knit from beginning to end despite the endless stockinette. Selecting SweetGeorgia’s exquisitely soft CashSilk Lace (55% silk / 45% cashmere) helped – a lot! View our project details on Ravelry here.
Super Easy Baby Blanket by Purl Soho
With the arrival of our Fall shipment of Spud & Chloe Sweater yarn (55% superwash wool / 45% organic cotton ) a couple of weeks ago we chose the happiest colours and worked up Purl Soho’s Super Easy Baby Blanket in no time flat. Adapting needle size to accommodate our heavier yarn choice and knitting to the end of each ball resulted in a slightly larger blanket – 36″ x 34″ – perfect for babies and toddlers alike! I’ve done Kozue in Classic Elite Silky Alpaca. It is a bit tricky to do the tree-top pattern but I managed! It has been admired – so yes the stocking stitch is worth it!
