New store samples: Focus on Cocoknits September 26, 2012 – Posted in: New in Store, Project Ideas, Store Samples

We have two new projects hot off the needles this week – both are patterns from Julie Weisenberger of Cocoknits. We’ve already knit Julie’s Gretel, Liesl, Everyday Wrap, and Weekend Wrap as store samples and all have been big customer favourites. We think you’ll enjoy these new ones as well!

Veronika

From the Cocoknits website: “Veronika is light and swingy, not at all fitted yet with snug cuffs that make her easier to wear than a poncho. She?s easy to throw-on over almost any outfit, so you?ll find yourself reaching for her again and again”. We knit our sample with a new yarn from Habu Textiles – N-80 Wrapped Merino 4P – 4 strands of fine merino wrapped in super fine silk which allow colours to show in a subtle way between each other. It’s mesmerizing.

Sabine

From the Cocoknits website: “Sabine is seamless; knitted from the top down with eyelet detailing on the flared sleeves and hourglass shaped back. It drapes beautifully worn loose, or wear it tied or fastened with a brooch.” Our store sample is knitted with just two skeins of Handmaiden’s luminescent Maiden Hair yarn – swiss silk and kid mohair hand-dyed in beautiful semi-solids and variegated hues. The silk provides a wonderful sheen through a halo of cloudy soft mohair.
