Chevron Baby Blanket by Espace Tricot

zigzag_blog
A few weeks ago, I blogged the arrival of Blue Sky Alpacas Worsted Cotton in the store. As soon as this lovely yarn landed on our shelves, it didn’t take us long to re-imagine our popular Chevron Colour-Block Blanket as a simple and modern baby blanket. This squishy-soft yarn (100% certified organic cotton treated with low impact dyes) just begs to be used for child-friendly garments, blankets, and accessories. We put together a cheerful palette and modified our larger throw to create this versatile baby/toddler version ideal for use in the nursery or out-and-about in the stroller or car seat.  The simple two-row pattern can be easily customized in terms of size (pattern repeat = 24-stitches) and the repetitive stripe sequence anchored by extra bright bursts of colour keeps interest level and motivation high throughout the knitting! We’ve included “boy” and “girl” colour palettes in the pattern but the sky really is the limit when it comes to creating your own version. We currently have all 36 colours of BSA Worsted Cotton in stock.
