New in store: Alchemy – Yarns of Transformation September 20, 2013 – Posted in: New in Store, Project Ideas
Alchemy: Yarns of Transformation specializes in unique, luxurious yarns, with an emphasis on interesting fiber blends. We had the opportunity to see and touch Alchemy’s beautiful offerings at the TNNA trade show in June and we couldn’t resist two yarns in particular – Tweedy (49% cotton, 31% mohair, 20% silk) and Silken Straw (100% silk). As these yarns are quite unique we opted to order them in with a couple of specific patterns in mind – the Seattle Cowl and the Bottle Rock Wrap. Both projects combine these exquisite fibers in simple alternating striped motifs which shimmer with texture and colour. The cowl requires one skein of each while the wrap requires two of each. We have a gorgeous colour range in stock (see below) and promise that decisions will be difficult!
Here’s our store sample version of the Seattle Cowl!
