New store samples: Jet Stream x 2 October 2, 2013 – Posted in: New in Store, Project Ideas
Lisa and I both fell for Heidi Kirrmaier’s Jet Stream when it was first published to Ravelry back in June. I opted to cast on with Sweet Georgia Yarns Merino Silk Fine while Lisa decided on Madelinetosh Pashmina. Both yarns turned out to be excellent choices, producing beautiful shawls with different vibes – one more elegant, one more cozy.
Jet Stream in Merino Silk Fine by Sweet Georgia Yarns
Like all of Heidi?s patterns, Jet Stream is well-written, interesting, and fun from beginning to end. And in Merino Silk Fine the shawl has a sophisticated sheen and beautiful drape.

Jet Stream in Madelinetosh Pashmina
Knit with Pashmina on slightly larger needles, this version of Jet Stream is bigger and feels warmer and a little more casual.

You can’t go wrong with either one!

I’ve made this and it’s just so gorgeous! It was really fun to knit too. I’m considering making another one. Mine was forest green 🙂 http://www.eatsleepknit.co.uk/jet-stream-shawl-first-handknit-shawl-and-a-beautiful-indie-yarn/
