DROPS Lace is a gorgeous blend of 70% baby alpaca and 30% mulberry silk.  At 800 meters, one skein is usually enough for large lace projects making this a beautifully economical option. The fibers are not exposed to any chemical treatment prior to dyeing and the resulting yarn is delicately fine and incredibly soft.  Drops Lace is perfect for creating lightweight shawls, wraps, and scarves with intricate and decorative lace motifs. While the suggested tension is small, most lace patterns recommend a much larger needle or hook size so that the lace really stands out. Tension in lace depends on how open or lacy a fabric you want and needle/hook size can vary.
