New store sample: Inspira Cowl September 29, 2014 – Posted in: Project Ideas, Store Samples
The Inspira Cowl by graphica is a gorgeous cowl pattern that has enjoyed continuous popularity on Ravelry since 2011. Worked in the round on circular needles, this is a fun way to learn stranded knitting since the corrugated rib pattern is very forgiving and any variations in tension can be blocked out. There are three options for the cowl provided which vary by ribbing height – we followed instructions for the Mesa Rock (aran weight) version. After two plain knit rows, the corrugated ribbing pattern shifts so that previous knit columns become purl columns creating a graphic change in colour and texture that give the cowl a dynamic flow. Quick, addictive, and beautiful.
Giovanna knit this store sample for us and will be teaching an Inspira Cowl class at the store in October. Unfortunately, this course is already full with a waiting list. We will be scheduling a second one early in the new year so, if you’re interested, do be sure to check our course schedule again at the beginning of January.
