Silk ‘ N Scribbles by StevenBe (Steven Berg) is a fabulously easy and effective wrap / scarf that can be paired with anything from a light sweater to a blouse or t-shirt  for a little added wardrobe drama.  Knit with 10 mm needles, this works up quickly alternating a superbulky yarn with a thinner sport weight equivalent for contrast. I knit this one on the weekend using Madelinetosh ASAP and Maiden Hair from Handmaiden Fine Yarns but last week Lisa knit up a gorgeous version combining ASAP with Alchemy Yarn’s Tweedy and Silken Straw held together.  Her version has been so popular with customers we decided to create several kits for easy shopping!  Apart from it’s stunning good looks, the true beauty of this pattern lies in the fact that it lends itself well to a wide range of yarn substitutions provided that the relative weights are more or less the same.  Think stash-busting!

If you’re joining us this weekend for a class or trunk show with Steven Berg and Stephen West and decide to knit one of these up – be sure to bring it along. I’m sure StevenBe will be thrilled to see all your versions 🙂
