New store sample: Color Craving September 3, 2015 – Posted in: Project Ideas, Store Samples
Another pattern from one of Stephen West?s previous Mystery Knit-Alongs. Color Craving was super fun and completely addictive to knit. It begins with just two stitches but quickly grows with five yarnovers added every other row. The middle section gets a little long but then the short row wedges at each corner seem to fly by in comparison (everything is relative!). The shape and structure of this wrap / scarf beg for color and texture experimentation and the unique shape makes for an extremely versatile accessory! Drape it, wrap it, wind it, twist it, tie it – there?s no wrong way to wear it. We mixed Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light (100% merino) with Handmaiden’s Maiden Hair (silk + mohair) and Shibui’s Silk Cloud (silk + mohair) for a soft, shimmery fabric with a subtle halo.
