Free pattern Friday: Bosc Pear (+ Leizu Nuances from Julie Asselin!) February 5, 2016 – Posted in: Free Pattern Fridays, New in Store, Project Ideas
The lovely Bosc Pear shawl by Tetiana Otruta is an asymmetric triangular shawl / scarf worked sideways with eyelet stripes and textured edge. The subtle colour changes enhance the texture and lend a sophisticated flare. The pattern is provided in one size but is easily adjustable – finished measurements: 59? (150 cm) wingspan and 20? (50 cm) deep at the widest point. Pattern is written and charted.
Julie Asselin’s popular Leizu base (90% merino, 10% silk) is now available in a fingering weight yarn and we’ve just received a beautiful collection of luminous Leizu Nuances gradient kits in this quality (total yardage = 485 m / 525 y). We think the pairing of the Bosc Pear pattern and these kits are a match made in knitter heaven… 🙂
