Customer Project Profile (+ New store sample!): Marie-Claude’s Gemini June 16, 2016 – Posted in: Customer Project Profiles, Online store, Project Ideas, Store Samples
What is the name of the pattern? Gemini by Jane Richmond.
What yarn did you use? A mix of recycled cotton and silk purchased from Espace Tricot several years ago. (ET Note: We believe it was Rowan Summer Tweed, now discontinued).
Did you enjoy knitting this pattern? Yes – it was an easy project and I enjoyed the seamless, knit-in-the-round construction.
What do you like most about the finished project? The yarn was a beautiful summer blend and a perfect match for the pattern.
Would you knit this again? Yes, but I think I would make it a little longer.
We’ve just finished the Gemini as a store sample using DROPS Belle, a wonderful mix of cotton, viscose and linen. As the name suggests, this lovely, top-down pullover has two sides to its personality depending on whether the lace is worn to the back or front – choose between the dressier versus more casual look as your own mood dictates. Knit in the round with DK weight yarn at a loose gauge, Gemini works up quickly and fits beautifully. A great summer tee!
