TRICOT 101 (Bilingual Class)

Join us for this 3-week learn to knit class and we will have you knitting and purling in no time! Tricot 101 will introduce you to the basic techniques of knitting (knit, purl, cast on, bind off) and explain the fundamentals of knitting theory and terminology. By the end of the course you will have all you need to begin your first project! Prerequisites: none
INSPIRA COWL (Bilingual Class)

The Inspira Cowl by graphica is knit in the round in a two-coloured corrugated rib. For inspiration, take a peek at the colour combinations on Ravelry. Required materials: Worsted weight yarn ? 190 yds / 175 m (main colour) & 150 yds / 135 m (contrasting colour); 5 mm, 5.5 mm or 6 mm circular needle (24? or 60 cm) depending on your tension; interlocking stitch markers. WORKSHOP: CONTINENTAL KNITTING (Bilingual Class)

Continental knitting has many advantages ? learn what this style of knitting is all about and how to get started. This workshop includes an orientation to continental knitting, guided assistance, and tips and tricks for practicing. Required materials: Knitting needles and yarn of your choice. Prerequisites: cast on, knit, purl.
SWAY SHAWL (Bilingual Class)

Sway by Nadia Crétin-Léchenne is a simple stole with just the right amount of lace to give a delicate touch. It?s knitted in one piece, entirely flat. Some regularly placed short rows create a beautiful and elegant curve. In this class you will learn how to create bobbles as well as twisted stitches with or without a cable needle. You will also learn basic short row techniques, how to read a lace chart, how to use a lifeline and how to knit a lace pattern. Required materials: pattern, 860 m of fingering weight yarn, 4.0 mm needles or size to obtain gauge, Stitch markers, cable needle, darning needle. Pre-requisites: knit, purl, yo, ssk, k2tog (you should be an advanced beginner or intermediate knitter to be comfortable in this class).
