Inventory 2017 is in the books! August 30, 2017 – Posted in: Miscellaneous
Whew! We completed our annual inventory this past Sunday and Monday and it was all hands on deck to count, organize, and tidy 42,000 + items! There were 10 of us working 12 hours on Sunday and 15 hours on Monday and when Lisa, Francoise, and I closed the door at two in the morning on Day 2 we were equal parts exhausted and elated. We don’t know about you, but there are few things that make our hearts sing more than a clean and shiny yarn store! Every single member of the Espace Tricot team brought their A-game to the daunting, and sometimes overwhelming, inventory process and we can’t thank them enough for their conscientiousness, attention to detail, and straight-up work ethic. Not to mention their good humour!
Bring on Fall and cooler temperatures – we’re ready for the new knitting season and hope you are too! There are new yarns arriving daily and things are getting super-exciting around here.
A few (okay, a lot) of pretty photos below to give you a sense of how things are looking in-store at the moment. Enjoy the eye-candy / yarnporn.
🙂

What an amazing store! So many lovely fibers and books and notions! I sure wish you were in my home town or at least driving distance!
On a side note, what pattern is that brown wrap featured in the final photo???

Hi Cindy,
Yes, it is too bad we cannot be the LYS for everyone – at least we can do the next best thing and be the online store for everyone… 😉
The pattern is called “Endless Wrap” and it is knit in Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok.
Best,
Mona

It looks gorgeous. I must say, though I k or it was hard work, I was a bit envious. Up to your necks in yarn + organizing = my happy place

Hello Sally,
Trust me, after two days doing this, even you would like a break from yarn… 😉
