Originally released in 1998, the Tudor Roses collection lit the hand-knitting world on fire with its knife's edge walk between modern and traditional design. With 14 designs by legendary Scottish designers Alice and Jade Starmore, the patterns include cables, twisted stitches and stranded colourwork across 12 sweaters, 1 vest and 1 shawl. Knitting a Starmore has long been a rite of passage for hand-knitters, as the designs make use of complex techniques or many colours - sometimes both!
The 2013 edition updates the yarn recommendations, adjusts the silhouettes and in a few cases, adds sizes, but please note the size range is still somewhat limited compared to modern patterns - largest bust sizes range from 42 - 48".
